Carbon Footprint

The little things...

At The Royal Yacht Hotel in Jersey we are very conscious that it is the little things that add up to a nicer environment. So from the way our Champagne is served to the fluffiness of our towels, we care about the detail. And to reduce our carbon footprint we are:

    • Using energy saving light bulbs
    • Attempting to lessen the waste we produce, and where that isn't possible trying to reuse or recycle
    • Employing electricity saving measures, including a system that cuts off electricity in bedrooms unless the room card key is in the slot and turns off the air conditioning when windows and balcony doors are opened
    • Using non-toxic cleaning products
    • Changing towels every other day unless requested

These may seem small things but we believe that these little actions are part of the big picture of our community.

The bigger picture………

Surrounded by nature, in Jersey we are all extremely environmentally aware. Jersey offers clean beaches, luxurious health spas, sophisticated bars and exceptional restaurants, yet our carbon footprint is a tiny dent in comparison to other locations,
