Chef De Partie or Demi Chef to join our focused team

Cafe Zephyr and the Grill are looking for an energetic Chef De Partie or Demi Chef to join our focused team. We are willing to look at all levels of experience from Commis to Chef De Partie but  a minimum of C + G 706 / 1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent,  Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate.  Previous knowledge or experience in Asian cuisine would be an advantage but is not a necessity. Strong teamwork skills are needed but an ability to work on own initiative when necessary would be beneficial.

Waitresses and Food and Beverage Assistants for the Drift

The Royal Yacht is looking for energetic and friendly people to join their growing team within the Drift.

Key Duties:
Meet, greet and attend to customers while maintaining the high quality of service expected by the Hotel.
Ensure the stations are being kept in good order.
Obtain a full working knowledge of the products on the menu.
Ensure account procedures are followed so that bills are being dealt with accurately.
Ensure that the safety and hygiene regulations are being respected.

Qualities Needed:
An approachable, bubbly, reliable & flexible manner.
Good interpersonal and communication skills with an excellent level of spoken & written English.
Keen approach to new and challenging tasks.
Be able to work as part of a team as well as showing your own initiative.
Exceptional standards of customer care at all times.
Be well presented with a lively, bubbly and energetic personality.
Ability to work well under pressure.

The Drift is also currently seeking an experienced Champagne Bar person with reasonable knowledge of champagnes, an excellent sales approach and a polite and friendly outlook.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for this environment, be highly presentable and willing to be trained further.

Award winning Spa Sirene are looking for spa therapists to compliment and expand their existing team.

Spa Therapists

Full or part time considered but must be able to work weekends.
Minimum 2 years’ experience.
Must hold full NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualifications or equivalent.
Strong massage skills essential but also highly proficient in facials, manicure, pedicure and waxing.

Salary dependant on experience basic plus treatment commission.

Intimate waxing

Experienced Reservationist Required


A Reservationist plays a critical role in the efficient running of the Front of House and throughout the hotel.  They need to have excellent customer service skills with passion and a commitment for dealing with the public.  They will need to be confident in promoting the Hotel to potential customers whilst ensuring their specific needs are noted and fully met during their stay with us.

Key Duties And Responsibilities:

To provide a warm introduction to all customers, deal courteously and promptly with any enquiries or problems.
Answering incoming telephone enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Assisting guests with all telephone and written enquiries and assist callers with their bookings in a courteous and friendly manner.
Having full knowledge of all rates (rack, negotiated and promotional, etc) room types, overall hotel products and its primary competition.
To convert incoming enquiries into reservations.
To comply with the Hotel’s accounting procedures in relation to all reservations work.
To up-sell and promote all in-house departmental areas.
To arrange and book flights, ferry crossings and/or all inclusive holiday packages.
Work closely with the restaurant manager to convert restaurant bookings and keep record of group bookings and payments.
Communicate with other departments at all times and work closely with Marketing and Events, forwarding sales leads.
Handle complaints promptly and professionally, demonstrating genuine care and concern.
Communicate with reception at all times and assist with or cover daily duties when necessary.

Qualities & Knowledge Required:

An excellent level of spoken & written English and a good level of computer literacy.
Be flexible with work times and be able to work weekends and shift work. Be punctual at all times.
Be able to work as part of a team as well as showing your own initiative.
Exceptional standards of customer care at all times and to be an ambassador of the Hotel both internally & externally.
Good knowledge of the local area and all it can offer our customers.
To have an awareness of and comply with Health & Safety at Work (Jersey) Law 1989.
An approachable, reliable & flexible manner coupled with a confident positive attitude.
Attention to detail is a MUST.
To wear clothing and name badge as supplied by the Company and to follow the Hotel’s guidelines on appearance.
