Legendary DJ to Perform at The Drift for Big Gig Launch Party

The Royal Yacht invite the public to an exclusive performance from world famous 1980s DJ Rusty Egan at The Drift on Saturday 30th May.
The event will launch the Big Gig’s Legend in the Park charity event. This year’s legendary headline act will be new wave band Spandau Ballet, who will perform at Howard Davis Park with support from The Feeling on Saturday 4th July. The exclusive Jersey date is part of Spandau Ballet’s sell out world tour which will see DJ Rusty Egan featuring at many of the shows as the band’s Official Tour DJ.
Winner of Best Night Award and Best DJ at the 2005 Club and Bar Awards, DJ Rusty Egan is renowned as one of London’s top DJs of the past 25 years. DJ Rusty Egan began his career at the famous Club Blitz, one of the most influential clubs of the 1980s, he went on to found the synthpop band Visage with the famous singer Steve Strange and is noted to have introduced German electronica band Kraftwerk to the London music scene. He continues to perform at some of London’s best boutique clubs and on tour as Spandau Ballet’s Official Tour DJ, playing an eclectic mixture of 80s classics and commercial House music.
The Royal Yacht have teamed up with Big Gig Jersey to give away tickets to see Spandau Ballet, those that arrive before 11:30pm will be given a ticket to a prize draw. The winners will be picked at random after 12:30am and must be in The Drift at the time of the draw to claim their tickets.
The event will also feature DJ sets from resident DJs Craig Alder and Tam.
